FEBRUARY MEDITATION
This isn’t a classic meditation, but a reflection on February’s nature—and our own—meant to invite both relaxation and introspection.
It is February.
Your mind is restless.
Your body tells you the waiting will end.
Just a little longer.
Today you are not eyes, hands, or feet.
You are whole.
Inhale stillness, deeply.
Exhale expectations, fully.
Do not rush a process that happens anyway.
Inhale trust, deeply.
Exhale the mind’s noise, fully.
What is hidden from your sight
does not mean it isn’t there.
In shadow, things are growing.
In February, the birch’s sap
runs like a river—
not because someone told it to,
not because it made a dream board.
Nature simply trusts life. That’s all.
Your mind wrestles now.
It wants to cling to an unfinished task,
to a dream not yet fulfilled.
Show it the birch.
Tell it you want to be it, now.
Feel life moving through you
without asking, without scheduling.
You are safe.
Inhale stillness.
Exhale the mind’s agitation.
You feel your pulse at your temples.
Release control.
Just BE.
Now open your eyes
through the birch’s still-sleeping leaf.
You are life itself.
Can you feel it?

Such a wonderful calming piece Phoeby.
The choice of birch as renewal, recovery and strength without hardness really resonates. 😊
It is also the first tree in the ogham alphabet which is something new to me
